Host to some of the world’s most important sporting events, and with over 82,000 spectators attending each match, the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow was expanded and modernized prior to the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The challenge for Finder was to optimize the lighting management of many of the main spaces within the sports arena, such as the stands and the building’s facade, and the paths and fountains near the stadium. The solution was to use Finder time switches.
The Finder Type 12.A2 astro time switch with NFC proved to be the ideal solution to improve comfort throughout the entire structure while delivering energy-savings. There were more than 150 such time switches installed in the stadium, all ensuring simple and intuitive programming.
