The DIN EN 1813 and VDE 0100-718 standards valid in Germany require the presence of devices for safety lighting in a way totally independent from the general power grid. As required by the regulations, the emergency lighting and emergency signals must ensure continuous operation in an emergency and therefore be totally reliable.
To respond to the need for continuous operation of the individual parts of a Setlon safety lighting system, Schuster has chosen the Finder 40 series mini printed circuit board relays. These relays, whose contacts are plated with zinc-silver oxide, ensure that the relay contacts are not worn even in the event of very high insertion currents, thus guaranteeing the total functionality of the system.
