Finder launches a range of expansion modules for OPTA

The OPTA expansion modules were one of the most eagerly awaited product launches at the SPS industrial automation fair in Nuremburg, extending the capabilities of the OPTA Programmable Logic Relay’s flexibility, productivity, and versatility by adding more inputs and outputs.

The range comprises of three different models, all of which can be connected via the AUX port:

• EMR digital expansion (16 inputs (Digital / Analog 0-10V) 8 outputs EMR 6 A)
• SSR digital expansion (16 inputs (Digital / Analog 0-10V) 8 outputs SSR 2 A)
• Analog expansion (6 inputs (4 x 0-10V / 4-20mA + 2 x PT100/1000) 6 outputs (2 x 0-10V/4-20mA + 4 PMW)

Up to five modules can be connected to each OPTA, multiplying the inputs (to a maximum of 80 for the digital version and 30 for the analog version) and outputs (up to 40 for the digital version and 30 for the analog version).

Different combinations can also be used, achieving an unparalleled level of project customization.

The expansion modules were launched at one of Europe’s most renowned industrial automation trade fairs and will be available from early 2024.
